Connecting2Australia (C2A) is currently seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our Community Connections team. C2A’s Community Connections hubs have grown and developed with our participants since 1953. One thing has remained constant: our ongoing passion for understanding the needs of people with disability, their carers and families.

The Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with our participants to understand their goals and assist them to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Our hub-based activities include Social and Community Participation as well as engaging programs such as: cooking classes, music, dance, art, gaming, exercise, growing vegetables and more. Participants choose programs based on interests and goals. This means that we have new programs that are continually developed to broaden what we offer.
The position requires individuals to work with participants who require support with physical mobility, personal care, manual handling, complex care needs and understanding of behaviours of concern. You will be working alongside a dedicated professional team who value innovation and flexibility in community inclusion and a person-centred service delivery.

- Have relevant qualifications and or experience
It is essential that you hold or are willing to obtain:
- Current First Aid Level 2 and CPR
- NDIS Screening Check
Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in the Disability Sector
- A qualification in one of the following: A Certificate IV in Disability or Certificate III and above in Aged Care or Community Services
- Complex care experience (Highly regarded but not essential)
We also offer flexible work arrangements for those studying a Certificate IV in Disability and would like to work at the same time.
