About the Role
We are searching for the best of the best when it comes to our Disability Support Workers. Based in our Kingston accommodation complex and servicing areas throughout South-East Queensland, you will ideally be available to work a permanent scheduled roster within our Accommodation Support Service.
These positions are responsible for providing high quality accommodation and services to individuals with a disability. You will work within a supportive environment alongside other ISA Support Workers and Managers within the Kingston complex.
Our clients have challenging and complex care requirements, so these positions are best suited to qualified, professional Support Workers. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated experience in similar roles. Candidates who have experience in the development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support plans will be highly regarded.

Position responsibilities include:
- Working in supported independent living accommodation
- Flexibility with casual hours
- Supporting clients during the morning/afternoon/night
- You will be involved in the clients' evening and morning routines
- Providing personal care to clients
- Completing household tasks such as cleaning, ironing and laundry
- Flexibility to work with short notice providing coverage for staff who are unable to work on the same day or week
- Provide a safe secure, healthy and hygienic home environment for our clients
- Develop and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients
- Support clients in the development of positive and valid community relationships
- Support clients in managing activities that form part of their daily living
- Have good administration skills and complete relevant documentation to a high standard

Skills & Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Services and relevant work experience
- Proven interest in & willingness to promote the independence & social inclusion of clients in supported accommodation
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards
- Literacy & numeracy skills sufficient to support documentation requirements and client needs including administration of medication and management of personal finances
- In possession of, or willing to obtain relevant criminal history screening cards (Blue, Yellow cards) as required by legislation.
- Current First Aid
- Open Driver's license and access to own vehicle
- Experience with complex medical support needs
- Behaviour support and restricted practices training
