About the Role
We have exciting opportunities for experienced Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in the Adult Disability and Child Protection sector. If you are resilient, reliable, respectful, passionate, positive, and professional this could be for you.
The role involves providing live-in person-centered support, and supervision to adults with an intellectual and/or psychiatric disability and children and young people under Child Protection Orders.
7 days on/7 days off
We operate a 7 days on, 7 days off model of care, that involves living in the client's house to provide care 24/7 for 7 days including SIL duties, Community Participation and sleepover shifts.
Other day shifts, night shifts, active night shifts, sleepover shifts, Community Participation shifts also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Support throughout the day-to-day living including but not limited to housekeeping, cooking, grocery shopping, cooking, personal care and hygiene
- Community access and transportation
- Completing shift notes and incident reports
- Administering medication
- Personal care
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience with a variety of clients that have different needs and goals (Cert IV and above preferred, but not required)
- Computer literacy
- Great written and verbal communication
- Current Driver’s License and own transport with comprehensive car insurance
- Capacity to work flexible hours on a rotating roster across weekdays, weekends, public holidays from mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
- Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates must be obtained prior to first shift acceptance
- Ability to adhere to client’s privacy and confidentiality
- Willingness to travel to support client’s needs

Please note, given the nature of the role, we require staff who are double vaccinated against COVID-19.
