We are seeking highly skilled & experienced Disability Support Workers to actively support our clients in both our Community Supports Program and Supported Independent Living. These casual positions will be based between Blackmans Bay, Brighton, Oakdowns and Goodwood area with the potential to convert to permanent part time. Experience supporting people with complex behaviours, medication needs, and mental health challenges will be highly regarded. These roles will require successful applicants to be available and willing to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays. Skills & Experience Certificate III in Disability, and experience supporting individuals with highly complex needs Demonstrated high level understanding of active support and restrictive practices Demonstrated skills in de-escalation strategies Current Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle Must have current First Aid & CPR Certificates, & Assist Clients with Medication Skillset Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including weekends, nights and public holidays Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and hold Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Registration and NDIS Worker Screening. To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
