About the Opportunity
La Vita Care are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker with a background in Mental Health to cover a variety of shifts across Melbourne metropolitan region.
You will support multiple clients with varying high complex disabilities.
The ability to slow down and hold a descent conversation across a variety of topics and enjoy a laugh is valued as well as your capacity to quickly understand and respond to changing client social, emotional, physical, and medical support needs.
Applicants should be prepared to support our clients with activities of daily living such as medication, domestic duties, personal care and living their best life. Training will be provided.
This is an exciting opportunity as you provide our clients with support that enables them to live a truly independent life in their own home.

Skills & Experience
- Cert IV in Disability or a relevant qualification and a minimum of 6mths experience in the sector
- Proven can-do, positive and willing attitude
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
- Friendly disposition and engaging manner
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid Training
- Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
- COVID-19 Immunisation
- Access to a car and a current driver's license (you may be required to transport clients in your own vehicle, but you will be reimbursed per kilometre for this)
- Ability to work autonomously
