Position Summary :
Reporting to the Accomodation services manager, as the Disability Support Worker you will be working as part of a team, carrying out duties in individual and group activities to support adults, children and young people with autism and their families. The Disability Support Worker assists our clients in all aspects of daily life and assists in the home environment, positive behaviour support plans, social activities and learning.

- Ability to relate well with young children, including children with disabilities.

- Good computer skills required for the company practice management software

Job Responsibility :
- Provide day-to-day support to children and young people with autism, as rostered and as per their individual support plans in clients’ homes, learning environments and the centre
- To take part in the development of individual support plans and to monitor, evaluate and review
- Assist in co-ordinating the day-to-day activities of other staff working on autism support programs and to assist in the development and implantation of novel autism-specific programs.
- Develop resources and training opportunities to support the autism programs
- Undertake appropriate professional development, including self-reflection
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic support when children are receiving more than one service
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- A commitment to meeting child, family and organisational expectations

- Ensure the environment is kept in a safe and hygienic state at all times
