Position: Casual Personal Support Worker
Hours:
- Weekdays: Monday to Friday - 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Additional shifts may be offered
- You do not need to be available everyday, choose days that suit your schedule!
Our male client is a resilient individual navigating life with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) resulting from a Motor Vehicle Accident approximately 10 years ago. The client is also managing epilepsy, with no recent episodes, and is working through challenges related to alcohol addiction. They are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to assist with daily living activities and ensure their well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Medication Prompts: Provide timely reminders for medication to ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Meal Planning: Assist in planning balanced and nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Money Management: Support with budgeting and managing finances, including bill payments and expense tracking.
- Companionship: Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Additional Support: Assist with any other daily living activities as needed to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Experience: Previous experience in personal support, caregiving, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Compassion: A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to support individuals with special needs.
- Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and consistent in providing scheduled assistance.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with the client and their support network.
- Understanding: Knowledge of TBI, epilepsy, and addiction recovery is advantageous.

- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Check
- License and Vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Quality, Safety and You module certificate
- Australian Driver's License
