Disability Support Worker

Female living independently in Wurtulla is seeking non-toxic, fragrance & chemical free Support Workers with demonstrated mental health experience and flexible availability. 

This role is best suited to those with personal knowledge of low tox living, and who can demonstrate a personal commitment to sustaining and maintaining a chemical free daily environment for the person receiving support. Detailed information on the criteria for non-toxic and chemical free requirements will be provided to suitable applicants.

Applicants must be professional, reliable, compassionate, proactive & organised, efficient, and must be able to demonstrate that they can flex and adapt their support style to the changing needs of the person. The Role:

Shifts:

Support schedules will adapt and change to the person's needs so genuine flexibility in availability is required. Mainly in-person support with possibility of some remote support. Shifts ranging from mornings to night across 7 days per week. 

Essential requirements:

• Knowledge of Non-Toxic; Fragrance and Chemical Free living
• +3 years experience as a Disability Support Worker
• Mental Health Experience
• Proficient PC & Administration Skills with experience across Microsoft Office and Google suites, and Maslow App (or willingness to learn if not familiar)
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills
• Able to work in a smoke-free environment
• Flexible Availability & Adaptability
• Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
• Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
