Our esteemed client, One Stop Support Services Pty Ltd, is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker / Carer to join their team on a full-time basis. The business is located at 41 Treetop Drive, Mount Sheridan, Queensland 4868.

The successful applicant will receive an annual salary of $65,000 to $70,000.
Job Responsibilities
• Assist clients with their daily routines, including attending appointments, shopping, and participating in social or recreational activities.
• Provide support with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, or using mobility aids to ensure safe movement.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and storage practices.
• Organise and facilitate social and recreational activities to promote community engagement and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and general household upkeep.
• Help clients with personal care routines, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to maintain their dignity and health.
• Engage in meaningful conversations, offer emotional support, and build a trusting relationship to enhance the client’s emotional well-being.
• Perform errands such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and other essential tasks on behalf of the client.
• Provide around-the-clock care by living in the client's home, ensuring their needs are met at all times.
• Conduct regular health checks, assist with medication management, and observe any changes in the client's condition to report to healthcare professionals if necessary.
• Regularly assess the client’s home for potential hazards and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support for the client.
Required Qualifications
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
