We are looking for Disability Support Workers with experience working with participants who present with Challenging Behaviours and support plans.

This is a hands-on role, suitable for active individuals who can perform manual handling duties.
As a Support Worker you will need to be available to work across a number of sites covering Greater Darwin, with shift types, including early morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, sleepovers, active nights and short shifts.
We're looking for people with:
- A genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities
- Demonstrated experience working with Challanging and positive behaviour support plans
- Understanding, ability and willingness to implement Person-Centred Practice
- The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Commitment to assist those disadvantaged in and damaged by our society through appropriate service delivery models
- Sound communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to cross cultural awareness
- High level of professionalism including the confidential management of all organisational, service user and employee information
- Relevant experience working in Disability, Human and/or Community Service
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support or another relevant field (or willingness to obtain them within an agreed timeframe)
