Job Overview:
We are looking for a driven, dedicated trainer who will be invested in the success of our participants. The trainer will see participants on a regular basis, providing a fun and appropriately challenging exercise session. You will also communicate with parents to establish goals and desired outcomes of the training. You should be motivated and excited to assist people with Special Needs (for example; autism or Down Syndrome) to help them realise their potential. You should be caring, patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about the success of your participants.
Personal Trainer Responsibilities and Duties:
- Working with parents, specialists and the NDIS to evaluate client’s conditions and create exercise plans.
- Designing training sessions for participants that they ENJOY.
- Driving to-and-from participant’s homes providing personal training sessions.
- Tracking participant’s progress and writing (annual) reports for the NDIS.
- Maintaining records relating to participant’s condition, training, and treatment plans.
Personal Trainer Essential Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Working With Children Check.
- Certificate II in First-Aid.
- Experience with disability care.
- Experience with strength, conditioning, and functional style training.
- Patient, understanding and attentive, especially where the needs and health of clients are concerned.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Desirable Requirements:
Further education and/or experience with disability care and strength training is a bonus!
