Dispensary Operator - Day Shift

  • Hourly rate: $35.90 (40 Hour Week) 
  • Spread of hours: 6:00/7:00 – 14:20-15:20 as well as 9am-5pm

Must have heavy lifting experience e.g: 

The role has a high level of intensity required for the manual handling aspect. Operators may be required to be stacking 25kg containers for consecutive hours of the day, or, handling 200kg (net) drums or scooping ~4kg scoop-fulls of material for consecutive hours of the day. Whilst all safety and manual handling precautions are in place, we’re looking for people ready and willing to take on this physical aspect; as you’re moving and working the entire shift. 

3+ years experience in a similar role is a must along with experience working on the Day Shift is mandatory, also Must have PR residency or NZ/AU citizenship.

Purpose of the Role:

Pick and Dispense materials in accordance with Manufacturing Methods, Recipes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other requirements as specified whilst ensuring all pharmaceutical manufacturing product is made according to all relevant quality standards in a safe and timely manner.

Day to day tasks include, but not limited to:

Work in all areas of Manufacturing as required with the primary responsibility being the Dispensary and Material Staging, reviewing and signing off on batch documents.

Carry out tasks in the required time frames.

Use computerised systems such as 3WS, SAP, Bulk Dispensing systems and Manufacturing HMIs to control processes. Investigate and resolve issues with SAP, 3WS, Deviations, Out of Limits Results and other anomalies.

Optimise materials usage and time.

Work with R&D, QA and Engineering to develop and improve manufacturing methods and related processes while continuously reviewing these and striving to minimise the use of resources including labour, equipment capacity, cost, waste, water, energy and surfactants.

Proactively identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.

Analyse non-conformances and deviations, recommend solutions and develop & implement matrices to track outcomes.

Analyse process data and report findings based on statistical evidence and trending.

Provide recommendations based on analysis for manufacturing improvements which will enhance capability and performance.

Become a leader in continuous improvement.

Undertake technical ‘hands on’ activities when required.

Participate in process improvement teams to assist improvements and aid changes involved in the manufacturing department.

Implement new technology and equipment within the manufacturing environment to improve efficiency and quality.

Perform troubleshooting activities for manufacturing processes with the objective to guarantee that product is delivered on time and always meets quality standards.

Liaise with Production Planner, Engineering and Quality.

Documentation

Follow SOPs that apply in all relevant areas.

Create, contribute to and maintain SOPs and Forms according to standards for all manufacturing operations.

Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles and protocols.

Utilise good documentation practices for all documentation including completion of manufacturing methods, checklists, forms and logbooks.

Prepare Deviation Reports, including thorough investigations to determine root cause and suitable corrective and preventive actions.

Review all completed batch documents for correctness and completion before they are submitted to Quality as required.

Clean and sanitise equipment according to SOPs.

Ensure that routine quality maintenance and calibrations are performed in accordance to the published schedule.

Perform Material Handling duties as required.

Report any quality or safety issues to Team Leader or Supervisor.

Participate in required training, including SOPs, GMP, OH&S and 5S.

To be selected for this role you must:

  • Have 3+ years experience in a similar role.
     
  • Can work machines, have some mechanical aptitude and can-do attitude.
     
  • Be a quick learner and have the ability to multitask.
     
  • Proven track record with leading safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
     
  • Possess high attention to detail and genuine care and pride in your work.
     
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships right across the business.
     
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles and OH&S requirements.
     
  • Car & Licence
     
  • Live in close proximity to the South Eastern Suburbs or have proof that you are moving nearby
