An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Part Time Dispensary Technician / Dose Administration Aid (DAA) Packer at our Erindale Pharmacy in Wanniassa, ACT. About the Role
Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, the Dispensary Technician/DAA Packer is responsible for preparing DAA packs in an efficient and safe manner and ensuring the smooth running and functioning of the dispensary. This includes assisting the pharmacists and ensuring that the dispensary work environment is neat, tidy and well organised and that scripts are processed according to guidelines, within expected standards and timeframes. The Dispensary Technician/DAA Packer will also be required to support our Pharmacy Assistants on the pharmacy retail floor from time to time.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing of scripts, as per Group and Quality Care 2020 guidelines
- Manage changes and merges to customers pack profiles
- Make changes to pre-packed DAA packs as required
- Maintain DAA database and records
- Liaising with other health care professionals to obtain customers medical requirements
- Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, especially in relation to the dispensing of scheduled pharmaceuticals
- Having a basic understanding of the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme
- Promote brand substitution according to group guidelines
- Complete daily requirements in line with script storage and recording
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of dispensary
- Provision of exceptional customer service in the Pharmacy
- Maintenance of stock and participation in stocktakes
- Other general duties to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Pharmacy

- Experience working in the Community Pharmacy industry (strongly desirable)
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Exceptional attention to detail

- Demonstrated ability to work safely and in compliance with WHS requirements
