The opportunity:
Visy Retail Services is a leading supplier & distributor of major brand hardware & retail products throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Supporting our Distribution Centre Manager to lead our operations team you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our operations. The Role:
- Support the DC Manager with resource allocation and workload planning.
- Supervise daily activities including receiving, replenishment, pick-pack and dispatch.
- Conduct and monitor content for toolbox talks and regular team briefings.
- Oversee DC compliance activities including maintaining internal license and training registers.
- Conduct staff training and identify knowledge and skill gaps for continuous improvement purposes.
- Ensure team adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies.
- Coordinate labour hire requirements
- Support the DC Manager to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
What you will bring to the team:
- Previous success as a frontline leader in Warehousing, Transport & Logistics, or other related industries including rostering, resource allocation and WHS implementation
- A strong understanding of best practice warehousing and a track record of achieving set efficiency and WHS KPI’s
- Whilst not essential a current Forklift license would be preferred
