We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Standards Engineer at our Perth Office, on a Full-Time Permanent basis.
About this role
As the Distribution Standards Engineer, you will be responsible for producing distribution electrical standards, technical specifications, tender evaluations and implementation as well as standard drawings and guidelines for design and construction. You will also be required to collaborate with key stakeholders and implement constructible solutions that ensure effective on-going management of the asset.
About you
We’re seeking someone from within our workforce with experience and attributes that include:
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Eligible for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
- Sound electrical engineering experience (at least 5+ years) preferably in electrical overhead line and underground cable engineering at distribution voltages.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a utility networks business.
- Detailed technical experience in distribution policies, designs and procedures and tendering process.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Strong communication skills and customer focus.
- Ability to work unsupervised and to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise and critically assess own performance essentials.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to escalate risks and issues on time.
