Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of the Distribution Supervisor Position is to ensure all trucks leave on time, managing performance of drivers and distributors, complying with all health and safety requirements, and working in accordance with the company quality system.
- Demonstrate constructive leadership and coaching ability with other members in the team and distributors who operate in our network
- Fosters an environment and culture where safety is a leading value and critical in all activities
- Maintain performance and improve labour cost management as per KPI's which include drivers and distributors
- Manage day-to-day scheduling of linehaul network
- Ensure daily performance of 3PL and distributor drivers adhere to company and CoR requirements
- Identify opportunities for optimisation to improve service, reduce cost or improve asset utilisation according to changing business requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2-5 years' Distribution/Warehousing experience in a leadership role within a FMCG environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
