We are seeking two enthusiastic and passionate divers to join our Central Operations crew working Night Shift.
Embark on a journey through the stunning south-eastern region, based in Dover 80% of the time. Travel to various locations and be part of our Central Operations team. Enjoy a balanced work-life with a 7/7 roster, allowing you to explore Tasmania during your off days.
Daily tasks of a diver at Tassal include the below:
Net inspections: Regular examination of fishing nets to ensure they are in good condition and identification and repair of any damages or weaknesses in the nets.
Underwater repairs: Conducting repairs on equipment or structures located beneath the water surface. This could involve fixing issues with the fish nets, or other submerged infrastructure.
Mort retrieval: Retrieving dead fish (mort) from the fish pens or cages. Proper disposal and management of mortalities.
Mooring checks: Inspection and maintenance of the mooring systems used to anchor the fish farm structures. Ensuring that moorings are secure and capable of withstanding environmental conditions.
General farm duties: Performing various tasks essential to the overall operation of the fish farm. This can include feeding fish, maintaining equipment, cleaning, record-keeping, and other routine tasks.
What can you bring?
Minimum Certificate III in Aquaculture Dive or an ADAS Aquaculture SSBA to 30 metres Commercial dive qualification.
Commitment to working in a marine farming environment.
Strong communication skills.
Coxswains Grade 2 ticket (desirable).
Rights to work full time in Australia.
