The Project:
Located in the small suburb of Loxford in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately three km north of the town of Kurri Kurri, and approximately 35 km west of Newcastle and 125 km north of Sydney.
The Hunter Power Station Project will generate 660 megawatts via two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines, and is anticipated to be fully operational by the end of December 2024.
What will a day in this role look like:
Liaise with relevant managers to identify documentation and other assistance required and to receive instructions.
Liaise regularly with relevant managers to confirm and prioritise activities/commitments for completion.
Manage and lead a team of Document Controller Advisors.
Monitoring project performance including project costs, progress against schedule, safety and internal reviews.
Monitor and manage the Project Drawing files after verification that all drawings issued by client or other parties are in accordance with the associated transmittal.
What are we looking for you to bring to the team:
2-5 years relevant construction experience plus qualifications in relevant discipline – e.g. Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated competence
Team management required.
Considerable experience in a Document Control role
Training in Document Control fundamentals
Aconex experience essential
Confidence in the ability to negotiate and ask questions
Problem solving skills
