The role and responsibilities
The Document Specialist (DS) team is a centralised function that provides quality Document Specialist services to fee earners and others across the firm. Your responsibilities will include:
- Uses the centralised job request system queue to proactively pick up, log and complete all work requests.
- Create and modify documents in G+T style and other styles as requested.
- Edits content and formats documents in G+T style and other styles as requested. Involves using track changes.
- Resolves document related issues as required
- Skilled at transcribing digital and audio recordings.
- Saves and files documents using G+T protocols.
- Creating and amending presentations and flowcharts using PowerPoint and Visio.
- Completes Legal Technology coding as required
- Ad hoc tasks or requests to support the firm as needed.
- Able to work remotely full time
- 4+ years WP experience or similar within a law firm
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe DC.
- Willingness to learn and work with new technologies and tools as needed (e.g. InDesign, Prezi, and SharePoint).
- Typing speed (minimum 85 words per minute) and high level of accuracy (>90%).
- Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet agreed deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a diligent focus on quality and improvement.
- Demonstrated communication skills – written and verbal.
- Able to work both autonomously and in a team
- Available to work afternoon shift with a start time anywhere between 12-2pm and a finish between 8-10pm
