About Dolly’s Dream and the Alannah & Madeline Foundation:

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the tragic loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road. 

They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families. 

Dolly’s Dream is proudly supported by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to keeping children and young people free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play. Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.

About the role:

Reporting to the Dolly’s Dream Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for the Dolly’s Dream social media and website management, as well as supporting the overall communication strategy.

  • Full time
  • 2-year fixed-term contract.

To make an impact in this contract role, you will:

  • Develop and implement an engaging social media calendar that promotes our work.
  • Manage Dolly’s Dream social media inboxes and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Maintain and consistently review the Dolly’s Dream website.
  • Coordinate the Dolly’s Dream monthly newsletter.
  • Support the Dolly’s Dream digital engagement strategy across web, search, social media, email, and app (Beacon).

The perfect you:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related role, and relevant qualifications or work experience in communication, marketing, or related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for digital channels including web, email, and social media, along with demonstrated experience in optimising content for SEO and tracking performance through analytics.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to write compelling and engaging content. 
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to work autonomously with limited direction in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities.
