Departure Pets is a small Pet Travel company dedicated to the safe transportation of pets all over Australia and the world. We take great pride in caring for our clients pets needs and try to facilitate the move with the minimum of disruption or distress to the animal and pet owner. About the role
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Domestic Pet Travel Consultant to join our team. It will draw on your previous travel/logistics experience as well as introduce a few new procedures, that we're happy to help you out with!
Your day to day duties will include preparing quotes, servicing and booking our clients' pet/s domestic travel. Arranging and co-ordinating the processes required for the pets successful relocation.
- Assisting clients with pet relocation enquiries, both over the phone and online
- General administration tasks
- Liaising with drivers, state requirements, airlines, agents, quarantine reservations and relief appointments etc
- Providing accurate and informative quotes for our clients pets to travel
- Maintain up to date records for our clients bookings and accounts
- Learning state importing requirements - where applicable
About You
As our newest team member, ideally we'd like you to have/be:
- A genuine love of all animals great and small, with a sound knowledge of cat/dog breeds and their varying needs
- Previous experience in Pet Travel/logistics or similar industry - would be highly regarded
- Attention to detail is an absolute must - government requirements are tricky and can change quickly
- Travel industry experience a bonus
- Ability to work autonomously
- Great phone manner
- Patience and be understanding of clients needs
- Competent with computers and their programs
- A sound geographical understanding
- High level of maturity and reliability
