Domiciliary Midwife – Part Time, 48 hours per fortnight

The Role: 

This part time, ongoing role works as a part of the Midwifery team to ensure a high standard of postnatal care is delivered to women and their families on discharge from Mildura Base Public Hospital. 

They will work closely with Lactation Consultants, Maternal Child Health Nurses and other services to ensure women are well supported upon discharge from the service.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant legislation
  • Knowledge and ability to competently apply current nursing/midwifery theory to provide holistic care
  • Ability to make sound decisions and accept responsibility for own practice
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Sound computer literacy
