We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for a full time Domiciliary Pathology Collector role in Perth's Northern Suburbs, based out of our hub in Whitfords.
The primary focus of this role is on the collection of blood and other samples from patients in accordance with our procedures while providing the patient with exceptional, professional customer service.
The successful applicant will:
- Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Pathology Collector
- Hold a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or have significant phlebotomy experience
- Hold a current unrestricted WA Drivers Licence, with minimal demerits
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with both patients and colleagues
- Have a strong focus on customer service
- Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised and within a small team with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Be computer literate
- Have the right to work in Australia
Experience in private pathology and current first aid is desirable.
All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing proof of immunity to Hep B, Varicella, Influenza and MMR; proof of Immunisation for DTP & COVID-19, and a National Police Certificate conducted by The West Australian Police.
The benefit of this role includes the opportunity to participate in Clinipath Pathology's Award Winning training program – upgrading you to a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (Collection).
The hours will be 7.30 am-4.00 pm Monday to Friday and you will also be on a rotating coverage for the On Call roster for weekend days. The rotation is approximately one weekend every eighth week.
