Position Overview: We are seeking a Draftsperson and document manager to join our mining Projects team.
Experience with modular buildings, mining camp and NPI projects hugely advantageous
The candidate will be responsible for participating in in drawing and document review, making minor alterations to drawings in CAD compiling and maintaining a document register MDR with all project drawings, material data sheets test reports etc.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention for detail, excellent CAD and Microsoft Office skills, and attitude to working in team. Training on technical aspects of the job will be provided (i.e.). CAD and interpreting Drawings skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting, drawings, schedules, technical documents
- Making minor alterations to drawings in CAD.
- Ability to collect information from drawings and present them in a clear manner
- Preparing sketches, plans and drawings for internal meetings
- Calculating quantities from drawings
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors to get quotes and product information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year drafting experience working in a relevant field
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Strong eye for detail
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team
- Exceptional time management and organisation skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to use SketchUp advantageous.
