The Role
This is a brand new role within the company. Training on the digital platform will be provided. You must be willing to travel to the competence centre in Switzerland for training (once off). This role is 5 days a week on site.
As the drafting technician, you will be involved in:
- Creating and maintaining the spare parts catalogues - drawings from 3D data from engineering, supplier documents, overview graphics...
- Creating exploded-view graphics for the spare parts catalogue in SolidWorks Composer
- Storage and management of graphics in ERP/PDM
- Publishing spare parts catalogues in the test and production system
- Initiating and carrying out control work and release process
- Documentation of the implemented modifications
- Analysing change notifications with regard to their impact on the spare parts documentation
- Compile and prepare 3D models for technical documentation
- Support with graphics for technical documentation (operating instructions, workshop manual)
- Creating and supporting additional documentation (retrofit instructions, technical bulletins, maintenance overview, service parts list, etc.)
- Good skills in Solidworks Composer and Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with an ERP system
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Basic technical background
- Experienced using Excel
