Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our Design Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software and manufacturing design processes. This role involves developing detailed designs, liaising with the sales team to discuss designs, collaborating with the manufacturing production team, and contributing to product efficiency and innovation. This position is perfect for candidates looking for a challenge who take pride in their work and have a high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for manufacturing processes using SolidWorks software.
- Conduct reverse engineering from 3D scans.
- Work closely with manufacturing to convert conceptual designs into production-ready models.
- Review and revise existing drawings with the production team to improve efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with other designers to meet design standards and project deadlines.
- Participate in product testing phases to ensure designs meet usability and quality specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and CAD software enhancements.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Excellent technical drawing skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control standards.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with different departments.
