Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections, and audits, utilising and maintaining field-based equipment.
- Record, compile, analyse, and report data from field instruments and laboratory results, and manage environmental databases.
- Compliance reporting, including NPI, NGERS, APS, EPA Licence/Exemption Certificate applications for all sites within the business.
- Support environmental incident investigations and document management.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and verification of the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring operational compliance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operational personnel to enhance environmental practices and performance and prepare and review environmental reports.
- Develop and provide regular environmental performance reports and updates, including annual reviews and business cases, to internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary education in environmental science or engineering.
- Understanding of Mann-Kendall or Minitab statistical software.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and environmental best practices (EPA, Australian Standards).
- Experience in environmental management systems and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with Australian environmental and sustainability regulations and international sustainability frameworks (e.g., UN SDGs, NGERS etc).
