Draftsperson

To support our continual growth, we are searching for a Draftsperson to join our Sales & Marketing team. This full-time position will be a Monday to Friday role, with intermittent travel to site.

This includes the supply of onsite maintenance & repairs, shutdowns, project services, access services, fabrication, offsite repairs, remedial services and mineral processing equipment & products. About the opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be required to provide drafting & technical support for engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited:

• Prepare models & drawings for engineering projects, from concept through to detailed manufacturing.
• Ensure that drawings for projects are completed on time and in accordance with define standards.
• Ensure drawings comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Engineering, fabrication, and sales personnel to ensure goals are being met.
• Develop Bills of Material & Material Take-offs
• Take responsibility for drawing revision control and change management.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to prioritise their workload.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• 4+ years’ experience in an engineering/drafting role
• Formal qualification in drafting
• Ability to develop drawings & models from concept through to manufacturing.
• 3D Scanning & point cloud experience would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 would be beneficial.
• Extensive experience with some, or all, of the following packages:

• o AutoCAD
• o Recap
• o Solidworks/Advance Steel
• o NavisWorks
• o Faro Scene
• Knowledge around mechanical design & steel fabrication.
• High level of computer literacy, including typical business packages. such as Excel, Word, etc.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Good problem solving and creativity skills.
