The Role
We are seeking an experienced Drill Operator to join our team at WA Goldfields region. This position is a permanent full-time opportunity.
The successful applicant will have:
- Hold the appropriate Trade Certificate
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- A working knowledge of Sandvik and Epiroc equipment
- Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
- A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
Responsibilities include:
- Operate Hydraulic and pneumatic Drill rigs in a mining environment as per OEM specifications
- Complete drill holes to clients requirements to a high standard of QA
- Complete minor mechanical repairs
- Assist mechanical staff with minor and major repairs
- Service drill rigs and ancillary equipment
- Operate ancillary equipment such as service trucks and LV’s
- Daily completion of drill sheets
- Complete daily pre-starts on auxiliary vehicles, drills and equipment
- Ensure drilling consumables/ GETS are maintained and wear rates are recorded as required
- Dip drill holes to ascertain correct depth
