About the role
Available roster's are either a 7 / 7 (3 days, 4 nights or 4 days 3 nights) 5.30am - 5.30pm
Or a 8 / 6 roster 4 days 4 nights ( 1 day in the workshop)
Hrly rate from $52 + OT from $78 +
Field Service Plant Mechanic – Drills
We are currently looking for an experienced Drill Technician to join our Field Service team in the Gunnedah basin. This positions will be responsible for looking after a drill fleet of MD6250 CAT drills.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate and make recommendations to improve fleet performance
Diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on the fleet
Repairs and maintenance on machine electrical systems
Offer technical support for the Caterpillar fleet
Offer mechanical support to WesTrac and customer technicians
Undertake workshop and field based – machine service or repair as instructed by the customer
Skills & Experience
CERT III Heavy Vehicle / Mobile Plant Qualification
Post-trade experience in a similar role including on mine sites
Experience with surface mine drills
Caterpillar/Bucyrus product knowledge and maintenance experience
Strong communication skills and dedication to safe work practices
Excellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellence
