Drilling Supervisor

Strike Drilling is a well-established Mineral Exploration Drilling Company and leading provider of Reverse Circulation and Air Core drilling services. We are a Perth based business with operating sites and clients throughout Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Drilling Supervisor to join the Strike team on a fly in, fly out basis for a project in the NT commencing early 2024:

• Permanent position
• Even time roster (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off)
• Attractive remuneration package
• Client camp accommodation 

Key deliverables:

• Maintain relationships and manage client expectations on site.
• Coach, mentor, and support the Strike Drilling team to meet performance targets.
• Identify and implement efficiencies in the operational process.
• Coordinate day to day drilling activities.
• Ensure company safety and drilling practices are followed. 
• Run drilling toolbox meetings and client safety meetings.
• Provide technical advice to staff to effectively manage rig operations.
• Liaise with the Operations team regarding the process of the drill program.
• Address any performance issues as they arise in a timely and respectful manner.
• Carry out inspections, audits and risk assessments and address any issues that arise.
• Liaise with management for scheduling and utilisation.

Who should apply?

• HR driver’s license (required)
• Able to provide a National Police Clearance less than 6 months old. (required)
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen. (required)
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate. (required)
• RC drilling experience (preferred)
• Physically fit and able to work 12-hour shifts in harsh conditions.
• Strong leadership ability and previous experience in a client facing role.
• Ideally located in Darwin or Cairns.
• Strong commitment to safety.
