About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Drone Pilot looking to be part of an industry leader that offers effective solutions to a diverse portfolio of mining, energy, civil, and government clients.

As a Drone Pilot, you will be involved in numerous drone solutions, including but not limited to advanced surveying and inspections (thermal imaging, LiDar and multispectral).

The Drone Pilot will also be required to transfer data into easily managed reports utilising the latest software, working closely with the Project Manager to support projects where required.

You will also be tasked with taking still and video footage, working closely with the Marketing Manager.

Whilst you will be based at our Erizon Headquarters in Wingfield, SA, you will be working on environmental projects throughout Australia and will be required to travel and work interstate immediately and regularly on an irregular schedule.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Required Licences

• Unrestricted Driver’s Licence (Class C)
• RePL Licenced Up To 25kg (or above)

Required Skills (Demonstrated Experience)

• Operating RPA <25kg
• Maintaining RPA hardware and software
• Organising and managing RPA fleet, parts, and equipment
• Managing and organising data
• Full and thorough understanding of, and demonstrated full compliance to, regulatory and safety requirements both at the CASA level as well as client requirements such as Job Safety and Environmental Assessments, Plant and Equipment Risk Assessments, and Safe Work Procedures
• Operating still and video drone cameras to take footage in variable weather conditions
• Ability to regularly travel to remote areas across Australia at short notice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including clients on site
• Utilising surveying and mapping software such as DJI Terra, Pix4D, and DroneDeploy

Highly Regarded Skills, Experience, and Licences

• Project management and delivery
• Strong understanding and experience in marketing and content creation
• Understanding of revegetation, dust suppression, and erosion control
• Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
• Approval to fly EVLOS
• Approval to fly BVLOS
• Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Applicator Controller Licence (NSW)
• AHCCHM307 prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases (NSW)
• AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals (NSW)
• RPA Agricultural Aircraft Operator Licence (VIC)
• RPA Pilot Chemical Rating Licence (VIC)
• Research and development
• White Card
