The Role:
To be a Dual Trade specialist across a large manufacturing site focusing on implementing improvements and/or implementation of advanced maintenance methodologies including preventative and predictive maintenance planning, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Quick Changeover and create SOP’s for all maintenance and engineering processes across the site. As a key member of the manufacturing site, you will be heavily focused on Safety and Continuous Improvement across the site.
- Be the go-to for site maintenance issue around repairs, installations and breakdowns across the plant.
- Identify any parts needed and maintain the inventory of spares in maintenance store, liaising with suppliers and third parties. This includes purchasing and coordination of spare parts.
- Fault find and troubleshoot all equipment issues
- Training of operators and development of SOPs to improve reliability, cost effectiveness and throughput of the injection moulding (Husky) assets.
- Support production and site activities to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Ensure execution of planned maintenance works align with plant and resource availability.
- Timely responses to all breakdown calls during production, using high-level fault- finding skills to evaluate the cause of the breakdown and implement the best solution to rectify the issue in a timely manner.
- Follow planned maintenance activities which include being actively involved in maintenance planning, plant improvements and projects which will improve plant availability and efficiency.
- Completion of weekly preventative maintenance activities.
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering qualification as an Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements.
- Knowledge of business operations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of ISO and HACCP principles.
- Previous experience working in an environment that utilizes high speed packaging equipment including HVAC, capping, filling, labelling, packing, palletising, conveyor machines will be highly regarded.
- Understanding of safety systems and processes including risk assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections.
- Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.
- Computer literacy, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
