Located in Mount Gravatt, Southern Cross Sports Club and Club Southside are popular community-based venues, which provide unique facilities for our members and guests with a primary focus on contributing to the local community. Each venue encompasses a Bistro, Bar, Cafe and gaming machines.
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to join our team working at both Clubs.
About the Role
This hands-on role requires you to bring proven experience of club wide operations including cash handling, staff management and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of members and guests.
Working closely with the Venue Manager and Senior Duty Manager, this position requires clear communication and organisational skills, whilst delivering high standards of customer service.
This role is a full-time position, and shifts will be split across Southern Cross Sports Club and Club Southside.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience within an operational position with exposure to gaming, Keno and food and beverage;
- Superior customer service standards;
- Current RMLV & Approved Managers License, and an understanding of relevant Club industry legislation and standards;
- Excellent cash handling skills and attention to detail;
- The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, overnights, weekends and public holiday;
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills; and
- The ability to lead and motivate others.
