Job Description: Functional Specialist – ERP Program

Overview: Join our team as a Functional Specialist within our ERP Program, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation, enhancement, and optimisation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Your expertise in specific functional areas, coupled with a deep understanding of business processes, will be instrumental in driving alignment with organisational objectives and maximising system utilisation.

Responsibilities:

ERP Implementation and Configuration:

  • Lead the implementation of designated functional modules within the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and tailor system configurations accordingly.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of functional processes.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, analyse business processes, conduct fit & gap analysis, and design functional solutions.
  • Perform functional testing to ensure system integrity.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in your assigned functional area, offering insights and guidance to the project team.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and advancements within your specialised domain.
  • Act as a resource for end-users, addressing inquiries and providing necessary training.

Process Optimisation:

  • Collaborate closely with business units to identify opportunities for process improvement within your functional domain.
  • Implement changes and enhancements to optimise workflows, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader ERP team to integrate and streamline processes.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee data migration activities pertaining to your functional area, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilise the ERP system to generate reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and domain-specific dashboards.
  • Implement and uphold data integrity standards within your functional module.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between business units and the IT team, facilitating clear communication and understanding of functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables within your specialised area.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and key stakeholders.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Empower and develop a group of people leaders and their teams in alignment with organisational strategy.
  • Advocate for inclusivity, diversity, and respectful workplace behavior.
  • Foster a culture that celebrates differences and values diverse perspectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Functional Specialist or Subject Matter Expert in a specific area (e.g., Finance, HR, Supply Chain) with a focus on ERP system implementation and optimisation.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in end-to-end project implementation of D365 Finance and Operations, including Finance and Operations modules.
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including configuration and customisation.
  • Experience with Microsoft DevOps and collaborative teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives within your functional domain.
