The Position
This exciting and dynamic role will be responsible for the coordination of Albury City’s Grow Our Own (GOO) Training Program. The Early Careers (GOO) Officer is a newly formed position to lead the expansion and enhancements across the GOO program. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will partner with our leaders supporting workforce planning needs with a primary focus on developing and coordinating our Apprentice, Trainee, Undergraduate, Graduate and Cadet workplace training pathways ensuring a consistent and standardised approach across AlburyCity. This role will also see you working across numerous satellite sites and depots across AlburyCity to support our supervisors and GOO employees at their place of work.

Qualifications & experience 

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Training and Development or related field or relevant equivalent work experience
  • Willingness to be agile and flexible with where you start and end your day to support the needs of our training workforce.
  • Demonstrated experience working in training and development or human resources within a diverse organisation. 
Tasks & responsibilities 
  • Implementing and embedding the Grow Our Own Training Program Framework and procedure including talent attraction and retention activities, and transition and development support for young and diverse people. 
  • Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition Coordinator and Workforce Planner to analyse and plan the training positions needed at Council to respond to future workforce supply and demand. 
  • Identify, build and sustain community and industry partnerships to support awareness of our GOO program, and attract prospective candidates to work at AlburyCity. 
  • Support marketing and communications that will generate awareness of the Grow Our Own Program and promote AlburyCity as an Employer of Choice. 
  • Support the lifecycle of GOO employees, including recruitment, onboarding and induction support, monitoring workplace and study performance.

Hours
Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
