Nought to Five Early Childhood Centre is a not-for-profit, community based childcare centre in Macquarie Park, meaning we are all about our children, families and staff! We have been providing high quality care and education in the community for 45 years.
Our 74 place centre:-
- Operates above the required staff ratios, with 5 educators in each room, all including an ECT. This allows us to support children’s learning and development, as well as support our educators too!
- Has an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and Pays 15% above award wages at all times
- Provides paid Professional Development including access to a range of webinars from our ECA learning hub subscription and paid First Aid refresher course and attendance
- Has a supportive Management Committee which provides generous Staff benefits and incentives including annual Staff Bonus and discounted Staff childcare fees (up to 95% daily fee)
- Provides paid lunch break
- Provides 2 weeks closure at Christmas and New Year period
We have:-
- 3 wonderful rooms, catering from babies through to the child’s year before school.
- Access to a big, natural, outdoor environment, full of grass and trees – something hard to find in this area!
- Free Staff on-site parking. Located close to metro train station and bus lines.
- Opportunity to move rooms each year and develop skills with different ages.

We are seeking a responsible, caring, and passionate educator to join our team.
Position Requirements:
- Qualified Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate 3 in Children's Services approved by ACECQA
- A current Working with Children Check
- Have sound knowledge of children’s development, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Excellent verbal (fluent English) and written communication skills
- Passion for engaging with children and providing a high-quality educational program

- With the guidance of the Nominated Supervisor and colleagues, promote the highest standard of care for the children in accordance with the National Quality Standard
- Attend monthly staff meetings (dinner and time in lieu provided) and other events throughout the year
