ROLE
Under the direction of the CFO, the Finance Officer is responsible for administering the end-to-end finance functions within Spyre. This role will see you working across the full spectrum of finance functions and being responsible for:
- Processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Complete the Month End
- Monitoring and reporting on cash flow requirements to ensure financial obligations are met
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
- Lodgement and reconciliation of all Business Activity Statements and other statutory obligation (Superannuation, TPAR reporting etc)
- Assist with accounting, budgeting and project reporting
- Preparing year-end financial statements
- You will also fulfil responsibilities such as intercompany reconciliation, bank reconciliations and property settlements
- Assist with office administration
- Provide recommendations on how to improve finance processes
CANDIDATE
- You will hold accounting/bookkeeping qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- It is not a prerequisite; however, having a good understanding of multi-apartment development/management or property industry related accounting processes would be advantageous.
- You must have strong excel technical skills.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct ERP, Xero and EstateMaster would be highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A detailed orientated and process driven individual who is passionate about developing and embedding best practice.
- You'll be capable of effectively business partnering with non-finance personnel and have an enquiring mind with the ability to recommend improvements.
- Your ability to recognize irregularities in accounting information and amend accordingly, your highly developed investigation skills and ability to follow through to its conclusion and the ability to gain an understanding of process flows beyond the immediate work area will be highly regarded.
