Key Accountabilities:
Compliance and Understanding : Maintain a strong grasp of the National Quality Framework, City Policies, Procedures, and Child Protection Law. Ensure compliance by implementing processes and practices to support the centre's performance and aim to meet or exceed National Quality Standards.
Educational Program Development : Create and execute an educational program that aligns with an approved curriculum framework, addressing and supporting children's developmental needs.
Curriculum Improvement : Continuously monitor and enhance curriculum (including documentation) and practices to maximise opportunities for children's exploration and play-based learning.
Work Culture and Professionalism : Foster a professional and positive work environment that encourages the sharing of ideas and best practice examples, supporting the continuous improvement of service delivery and curriculum.
Child Supervision : Actively supervise children to ensure their safety, health, and wellbeing.
Relationship Building : Build and maintain positive relationships with families and children to facilitate a holistic approach to education and care.
Adaptability and Professional Growth : Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to change and innovation by engaging in professional learning opportunities and experiences.
Leadership and Responsibility : Display readiness to assume leadership responsibilities when required, such as taking on roles like Responsible Person, Educational Leader, Second in Charge, or stepping in for the Children's Services Coordinator. This includes making decisions, responding to the needs of children and families, and guiding and mentoring staff.
Regulatory Compliance : Assist in maintaining a service environment that complies with relevant regulatory requirements and Work Health and Safety standards.
