Early Childhood Educator - Certificate III / Diploma
The Child Development Institute is currently looking for a Diploma / Certificate IIIEarly Childhood Educator to join their wonderful Autism specific early intervention team in Northmead.

The Child Development Institute is an AUTISM SPECIFIC early intervention centre for children aged 2 – 5 years. They deliver the Early Start Denver Model, an evidence-based intervention specifically developed for young children with autism. It is recognised worldwide as the number one naturalistic intervention for young children with autism and has many research studies and clinical trials to prove its effectiveness.
About the Role:
Your time will be spent supporting the staff in our Inclusion Readiness Group Program each morning and assisting with room programming and resourcing. The Inclusion Readiness Group Program runs from 9am - 12pm every morning at a ratio of 2 children to each educator/therapist, with up to 15 children per day across 3 classrooms.
8:30 am – 12:30 pm: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
8:30 am – 4:30 pm: Wednesday
Our purpose-built centre is designed and fully resourced with equipment to deliver effective early intervention to children within a group program, preparing them for inclusion in mainstream Early Childhood settings.

- Current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check (WWWC)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Early Childhood service
- Experience working with children with autism or disabilities is preferable
- A genuine love of and connection with children and their families
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a cooperative team
- Be willing to undergo in-house ESDM training to support children with Autism/Developmental Delay
- Demonstrated experience maintaining safe and hygienic environments for children
