We're seeking motivated, organised and contemporary educators with strong pedagogical skills who demonstrates a high level of knowledge of relevant curriculum approaches and child development theories, who knows how to implement programs which enhance children’s learning.
Early Childhood Educators are responsible for working collaboratively to create educational and care programs and environments, within set philosophies, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations in consultation with the centre's leadership team.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively with colleagues, other members of the profession and the community who contribute to the children’s educational or developmental progress and wellbeing.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
- To lead the development and implementation of a quality education and care curriculum for the children attending the centre in accordance with all legislative requirements and City of Yarra Policies and Procedures. The curriculum should reflect the context and diversity of the community in which the children live.
To be successful in this role, the following is required:
- Minimum qualification of Certificate 3 or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, (or equivalent)
- Up to date First Aid, CPR, EpiPen and Asthma Management qualification
- Minimum 3 years work experience
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Experience using Xplor (or similar online education platform) (desirable)
