Shirley Robertson Children's Centre provides 78 long day care places for children aged between 6 months to school age. It has a funded 3 and 4 year old kinder. The staff and the Committee of Management work closely together to ensure that service delivery is of a high quality meeting the National Quality Standards and Regulations at all times. The service delivers high quality education and care with the child in focus and is proud to have been awarded an 'Exceeding' rating in June 2023 our last assessment.
About the role
We are seeking a part time maternity leave position working 3 days a week until end of January 2025 (possibility to extend) for our non for-profit community long day care and kindergarten.
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator who is passionate and motivated about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families and willing to work in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will help develop and implement a high-quality program. Pedagogical leadership and continuous quality improvement are hallmarks of this position.

Skills and experience
The successful candidates must hold a Diploma of Early Childhood with a minimum of 3 years’ experience or new Graduate in an Early Childhood setting. Delivery of high-quality programs, empathy, resilience, good communication, a desire to work in a collaborative team environment and ability to innovate, engage and participate in the creation of a positive team culture are a must. The candidate must have an excellent command of English both written and verbal.
