Workforce Planning Analyst - Policy and Strategy
Salary: $99 357 + Super

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Workforce Policy and Strategy Team works collaboratively locally and nationally to inform and develop evidence-influenced workforce policy. Representing the NT's workforce needs and ensuring that local and national policy is optimized to support strategic workforce development and sustainability. Workforce Policy and Strategy are also responsible for overseeing and delivering key projects to address identified workforce needs. The Workforce Planning Analyst will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps in the primary healthcare workforce, community workforce needs and training capacity and pathways. While NT PHN activities address the whole of the primary health sector, specific focus areas are Indigenous health, general practitioners, nurses, allied health and primary care Workforce Planning.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Policy and Strategy Lead this role is required to:
- Monitor, analyse and present national and jurisdictional primary health workforce data, policy, strategy, research, and literature to identify workforce needs and context.
- Interrogate pertinent databases and information sets.
- Collect, extract, analyse, interpret, and present information for multiple audiences.
- Plan and deliver stakeholder consultation, service and workforce mapping, market, and gap analysis activities to inform program-level needs assessment, prioritisation and solutions planning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, coordinating skills, resources, and activities to accomplish project deliverables.
- Draft reports for projects led by the Strategy and Policy team.
- Support the presentation of reports to NTPHN governing bodies for endorsement.
- Understand the strategic priorities, core business, funding deliverables and requirements of RWA NT and NT PHN, and ensure activity is closely aligned.
ESSENTAIL SKILLS
- Strong administrative and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks across different programs.
- Experience in remote travel bookings, contract administration, and basic financial processing.
- Confident and positive engagement skills with the ability to maintain relationships and ensure cultural sensitivity when working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Customer service oriented ensuring timely response to enquiries and ability to escalate complex issues to appropriate team members.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail when utilising IT systems.
- Experience with the Microsoft environment including SharePoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures.
