About Campus Kindergarten
Campus Kindergarten is a community based, not-for-profit organisation that operates an Early Childhood education and care (ECEC) long day care service, operating from 7:50am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Campus Kindy welcomes children from 2.5yrs-5yrs and operate with additional staff to ratio supporting quality program and practice.
Established in 1971 and highly regarded within the community, Campus Kindy is located on the grounds of the University of Queensland. Campus Kindy is known for its high-quality programs and beautiful surroundings, giving a homely feeling to all. All programs are delivered by Bachelor qualified teachers and 2 rooms deliver an Approved Kindergarten program.
The role
We are seeking passionate and professional educators who can work across the week and with all age groups. The minimum weekly rostered hours will be 15hrs, with the option to pick up other shifts as well. Options for casual engagement would be considered also. We are also seeking an Admin Officer to support the Centre Director, approximately 15 hours, (days and hours negotiable). Previous child care admin experience desirable.

Suitable applicants will have:
- Studying towards or hold a Certificate III or Diploma of Children Services (educators)
- Business/accounting knowledge and experience desirable (Admin Officer)
- A current First Aid Certificate (including asthma, anaphylaxis and CPR)
- A current Blue Card
- Knowledge of ELYF, QKLG and NQF
- Experience working in Long Day Care/ Kindergarten Setting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work as a team
- A positive, friendly and can-do attitude
Responsibilities
- To work in accordance with all Campus Kindergarten and The Gowrie (Qld) policies, procedures and National Quality Standard.
- Engage in the centre’s collaborative approach to planning, documentation and evaluation of high-quality Early Childhood programs.
- Work in partnership with teachers and educators to support the provision of high-quality programs.
- Develop a warm, responsive and genuine relationships with all children and families.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities and centre events as required.
- An ability to collaboratively implement a program to ensure the needs of individual children, including children with additional needs are met.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment including the importance of supervisory responsibilities.
- Actively work to support a positive team environment based on trust, respect and honesty.
- Support a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.
- Engage in inclusive practices supporting the belonging and participation of all children.
