Early Childhood Educators

Haven is seeking a passionate new team member to join our 6 month old to 2 year old room, alongside our 2-3 year old age group.

The position being offered is a permanent part time role with suitable candidates available to work up to 5 days per week. 

We ask that candidates are available between the hours of 6.30am-6.30pm Mon-Fri. However, a rostering is flexible to suit individual needs, with rosters posted 2-4 weeks in advance. 

The Role:

Haven is seeking educators with a minimum years experience in the Early Childhood education and care sector to join our:

• 6m-2yr year old room. 16 places with a 1:4 ratio working alongside a permanent team of five educators. 
• 2-3 year old toddler room, 26 places with a 1:4 ratio and permanent team of seven educators.

At Haven all rooms are rostered above ratio, with rooms covering their own breaks and ratio always being maintained. All rooms are staffed with permanent educators and consistent shift times. 

The successful applicant will bring their own individuality to our team, showcasing their strengths and interacting with all families, children and team members in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements (or willing to obtain)

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• 1 year experience in Early Childhood education
• Current Working with Children Check (employee)
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificates
• Mandatory Child Protection 
• Food Handler's Certificate

Haven is a 100 place centre with 4 spacious rooms, all with large individual outdoor yards. Haven transitions children once per year in January (grouped according to school years), with no further changes during the year, creating a sense of belonging and strong relationships for all children, families and staff members.
