Emmanuel Christian Community School is a co-educational K-12 school located in Perth’s northern suburbs. The School opened in 1982 and now has an enrolment of around 700 students. The School’s Vision and Mission can be found on the School website.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and committed Early Childhood teacher to join our team. Commencement would be the beginning of Term 3, 2024. Applications from recent graduates or graduating teachers are welcome.
The successful applicant will have a passion for nurturing young children and demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide a warm, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
There will be opportunities for professional development and mentorship.
The successful applicant will:
- actively demonstrate a commitment to promote the objectives and ethos of Christian Education as articulated in the Vision and Mission of the School
- be a Christian, church member and called to this ministry
- be proficient in the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework
- demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills
- demonstrate initiative, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Selection Criteria (Early Childhood):
- Application of current EARLY CHILDHOOD pedagogy and best practice with a focus on play and nature-based pedagogy.
- Demonstrated record of achievement in fostering student development.
- Well-developed knowledge of literacy and numeracy teaching and learning in the early years.
- Responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Demonstrates innovation and creativity in the learning environment.
- Enhance learning through effective use of ICT.
- Proficiency in the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
Selection Criteria (Primary):
- Application of current best practice.
- Demonstrated record of achievement in fostering student development.
- Well-developed knowledge of literacy and numeracy teaching and learning.
- Responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Demonstrates innovation and creativity in the learning environment.

- document addressing the selection criteria above (maximum two pages)
- your philosophy of teaching (maximum one page)
- registration with Teacher’s Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)
- a current Working with Children Card
- National Police Clearance
- proof of Citizenship/Eligibility to work in Australia
