Early Childhood Teacher

Baulkham Hills Preschool Kindergarten - permanent part-time position -  initially 2 days per week (Mon/Tues) commencing from Term Two 2024, then increasing to four days per week (Mon/Tues, Thurs/Fri) from Term Three 2024.

Essential Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor of Teaching / Education in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (ACECQA approved)
• NESA Teacher Accreditation
• Current First Aid Certificate / Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate (ACECQA approved)
• Clearance to work with children as required under the Working With Children Check
• Willing to be Responsible Person as required
• Child Protection Qualification (ACECQA approved)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team work and Team Leadership skills
• The ability to inspire, motivate and maintain an positive learning culture within the Preschool for children, families and colleagues.
• Ability to relate to people from a wide range of socio-economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds
• Committed to reflective, strengths-based and inclusive practices
• Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety and Child Protection matters,  and their implementation in an Early Childhood setting
• Practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework, Quality Improvement Plan,  and the Early Learning Years Framework
• Contemporary knowledge of pedagogy
• Experience working in Early Childhood learning environments will be highly regarded, but not essential.
