About the College
The near-new Early Learning Centre is fully equipped with everything you could imagine, is spread out over six rooms, has three age-appropriate outdoor environments, and is tastefully furnished. An in-house chef prepares a healthy and nutritious menu for children, with meals made free daily, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.
Due to a rise in enrollments, we are seeking a second Early Childhood Teacher to work alongside our existing ECT in delivering the funded kindergarten program. This is a large group (30-33) hence the reason a second ECT is being sought! Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, experience in running a kindergarten-age room, and would be genuinely passionate and enthusiastic. This position, when filled, will ensure the room is over the required ratio.
The curriculum is Reggio Emilia inspired, where the environments are open-ended and encourage learning opportunities for both the individual child and for groups of children to build friendships and other life skills. The service enjoys an excellent reputation in the local community and offers staff a dedicated Wellbeing Team equipped with professional counselors, speech pathologists, and other support staff.
About you
- ACECQA-approved degree qualification in ECE
- VIT Regsitration (provisoinal is okay)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework 2.0 and National Quality Standards
- Experience of at least 1 year teaching in a similar setting
- Excellent communication skills, positive 'can-do' attitude
- WWCC (Employer version, Current First Aid, Food Safety, and Mandatory Reporting Certificate/Qualification
- Strong communication skills, reliable and punctual
- You know how to motivate others to be their best and enjoy taking on an odd challenge.
- Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing
