About the Position

We are looking to welcome an Early Education Program Assistant (0.6FTE) to support the delivery of the Early Years Learning Framework to a small classroom of children aged between 3 and 5 years of age. This role is government funded until 30 January 2026, with possibility for extension.  

This position is classified Level 3 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $71,136 - $76,274 (pro-rata) plus super. We offer excellent salary packaging options which can significantly increase your take home pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with the parents/carers and engage their support to meet learning and developmental goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of trauma-informed positive behaviour support plans.
  • Facilitate social learning, community connectedness, good health and wellbeing for children and their families.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure child’s goals are achieved.

About You

  • Certificate III or above in Early Childhood, Education Support, Community Services, or similar qualification.
  • At least two (2) years of experience supporting children to engage in early learning environments.
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF and play based learning in the early years.
  • Ability to be non-judgmental and respectfully coach families in learning practical skills.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
