Public Programs Assistant
Artspace Mackay is looking for a new team member with a passion for sharing visual arts with people of all ages and abilities to join their small but vibrant and dedicated team.
The role:
As a Public Programs Assistant, you will play a crucial role with supporting the Public Programs Officer in the implementation of public and education programs, and marketing and promotions for the gallery. Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian South Sea Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
Please note whilst the position is currently permanent part-time (21.75 hours per week), there is potential for this position to transition to a full-time role.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in art gallery public and education programs, and/or exhibition programs.
- Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Current QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence.
- Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a QLD Paid Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.
